Lughnasadh is just around the corner, so I thought I’d share a fun post with some simple Lughnasadh ritual ideas. Lughnasadh is also known as Lammas.
Lughnasadh celebrates and honours the tradition of the first grain harvest. It is the first of three harvest festivals which stretch from August 1 (Lughnasadh) to September 20 or 21 (Mabon) and wrapping up on October 31 (Samhain).
1. Bake Bread
The traditional celebration of Lughnasadh honours the first grain harvest. Bake a loaf of bread or some biscuits with gratitude.
2. Light a Candle
Light an orange, gold or yellow candle to celebrate the seasonal energy as the Earth heads into the harvest season.
3. Have a Brew
If you are of legal drinking age, then celebrate the grain harvest by sharing a brew with your loved ones.
4. Go For a Walk
Head outdoors for a walk to soak up some green magick. Breathe in the seasonal smells of Earth with mindfulness of the beginning of the harvest season.
5. Home-Grown Dinner
Celebrate the beginning of the harvest season by incorporating herbs or vegetables from your garden into a nice meal with loved ones.
